South Thames College Group has donated pairs of science goggles, plastic aprons and gloves to local NHS Trusts for use as Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) by staff in the dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak. This donation was made as part of the urgent call for colleges and schools across England to help supply this vital equipment.

Sonia Chan is one of our Level 3 Travel & Tourism students. She has ambitions to secure a position within Cabin Crew or Ground Crew and has been working hard to achieve her goal.

Our hard working Hospitality & Catering students finished the spring term on a high last week as they hosted an end of term food sale for staff and students. Customers were queuing down the corridor to purchase bakewell tart, cakes, roulade and biscuits made by the students themselves.

Start the day right - Set an alarm, get up and out of bed at the same time daily. If allowed to, go for a walk and get some fresh air before starting your studies.

Merton College, part of the South Thames Colleges Group currently remains open to provide care for learners whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response and students with safeguarding, welfare needs and health and care (EHC) plans.

A large part of this provision is based at the Aurora Learning Hub, a specialist non-residential FE Centre for young adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, located at Merton College.
