In the second of our Merton Adult Education case studies, we recently spoke to Christine Billa; who has progressed from a Level 1 Preparing to Work in Schools to a Supported Teaching and Learning Level 2 course, to fulfil her dream ambition of working in education as an Early Years Teacher.

On 2nd April, our Level 2 and Level 3 Travel & Tourism students went on a tour of the Natural History Museum, as part of their UK attractions module. The study visit enabled our learners to go behind the scenes of London’s most famous museum, situated in Kensington, West London.

On 14th March. our Level 1 and Level 2 Hairdressing students hosted a Hair Show at the College, which culminated showing their own unique designs to both students, curriculum staff and invited friends & family. The Hair Show was the practical element of two units of our Hairdressing courses.

During the week of our College Employability sessions, our Level 3 Engineering students took part in a Crisis Management workshop led by Andy Gillman MBE, the Outreach Programme Director at UK Ministry of Defence (MoD). 

Earlier this month, our Level 3 Business Extended Diploma students successfully completed their Career Ready programme. To celebrate the completion of their career development enrichment, our students attended a ceremony at London based international law legal firm Messrs Freshfields Brickhaus Deringer Law. 

As part of Red Nose Day, on 15th March 2019, our students from the Hospitality & Catering Academy hosted cake sale to raise money for the nationwide fundraising event.
