The South Thames College Careers team recently welcomed our university colleagues onsite for the annual University Fair at Wandsworth.

The day brought together 24 universities from across the country with the goal of providing information to students about their educational offering, entrance requirements and application processes for various undergraduate courses.

The Fair was well attended and open to students from across the South Thames College campuses, with groups from Merton and Carshalton Colleges also invited this year. Here is what some of the university representatives had to say:

"It was a brilliant event that allowed for worthwhile, lengthy conversations with students." Southampton Solent University

"The location of the event was good and we had some very meaningful conversations. Students were generally well informed and positive about next steps. I enjoyed the event." Greenwich University

Sue Rathmell, Careers Adviser at South Thames College commneted: "The University Fair forms part of an annual Careers and Employability programme which is designed to raise aspirations and help our students make informed decisions about their academic and professional future once they complete their college courses. Despite a train strike, over 100 students attended from across the South Thames College Group campuses. We look forward to strengthening our links and also developing new university partnerships as we continue to support our students in their applications to university and Higher/Degree Apprenticeships."
