ESOL Merton 16-18 students have created the first community art installation at Morden Hall Park as part of their annual work experience. The students cut pieces of willow from the wetlands there and then built the installation, which is a hand-crafted festive willow globe.

The installation, called Celebrating All of Us, was launched on 30 November in the Exhibition Space at Morden Hall Park. There were festive drinks and food to celebrate the launch and the installation is open to the public in the Snuff Mill from 1 December.

Visitors will be able to decorate the willow globe by bringing a unique object to represent who they are, their story and their culture. Another photo of the installation will be taken again in a couple of weeks’ time, where every object added 'will create an image of personal and collective stories, hope, celebration and belonging'.
