You will develop practical skills and a theoretical understanding of the world of business including areas such as banking, marketing, insurance and accounting. As well as learning about employment areas, you will develop the skills you need to build a successful career including teamwork, innovation and entrepreneurship.

This is a two-year course equivalent to two A Levels.

  • Entry Requirements


    4 x GCSEs at grade 4 or above or a Level 2 BTEC at Merit or above in a relevant subject.

    We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

    You will also need to provide a copy of your last school report and/or a reference from an employer, and this will include your attendance. Applicants with attendance below 85% will need to discuss any evidence-based mitigating circumstances at their Meet the Tutor interview.

  • Course Content


    You will look in depth at Finance, Management, Marketing, Events Management, International Business and the Principles of Management in Business.

    During the course you will develop your group work, IT and presentation skills. You will have a personal tutor who supports and guides you through the course. You will meet with your personal tutor for group meetings and for personal one to one meetings on a regular basis.
