Introduction

Learn all aspects of ceramics making from core hand-building skills, glazing and decoration to the more complex art of throwing on the wheel. This course is open to complete beginners.

Each term students will study and research a key ceramicist, or style in the history of ceramics.

Materials

There will be materials you need to help with your studies. Clay is charged at £2 per kilo. More for specialist clays. Your tutor will talk to you about this at your first class.

Assessment

The tutor will advise you on the aesthetics of a form and ensure your work is successful in the making. There is no certification.

Entry Requirements

This course is a perfect introduction to pottery.
