This course introduces you to the basics of cake baking. You'll learn a variety of cake making methods to produce the perfect cake with a professional finish.

Please bring these ingredients to your first class

Ingredients for Victoria Sponge

For the cake

225g soft butter

225g self-raising flour

225g caster sugar

4 medium eggs

For the filling

25g soft butter

200g icing sugar plus extra for dusting

Strawberry or Raspberry jam

Please bring two 20-21cm sandwich cake tins
