As part of Red Nose Day, on 15th March 2019, our students from the Hospitality & Catering Academy hosted cake sale to raise money for the nationwide fundraising event.
The Cake Sale took place at Taste Restaurant and raised the sum of £267.50, which was a good achievement as it was the first Red Nose Day event at the College.
The event was attended by commercial customers, staff from the College, and even students from across the curriculum.
Daniel Jacobs, Hospitality & Catering Academy Lecturer and Restaurant Manager for Taste said “this was truly a great event for our students, customers and staff to be part off. I enjoy events like this as it allows our students to an opportunity to create their own bespoke cakes. Overall, the students had a great time engaging with customers and raising monies for a great cause”.
Overall, customers and staff enjoyed the exquisite selection of cakes available to purchase. Customers even made requests for more of the bespoke cakes, fortunately, our students promised to do more cakes come the next fundraiser event at Taste Restaurant.
