Merton Local Strategic Partnership

Merton Local Strategic Partnership (LSP), of which Merton College is a key member, exists to provide strongly co-ordinated action in all sectors in the borough. In 2001 the Government issued detailed guidance on the formation of LSPs - they are single bodies that: 'bring together, at a local level, the different parts of the public sector as well as the private, business, community and voluntary sectors so that different initiatives and services support each other and work together...'. Part of the Partnership's role will be to bid for government funding to aid local development.
