The Team programme's free to join and you won't lose your benefits

We offer exciting challenges, which help build your confidence and motivation, give you new skills and qualifications. Taking part will help you get the job you want.

During the programme, you will:

  • Develop practical skills which will help you in life, and in a job
  • Meet new people
  • Enjoy an action packed week away from home
  • Take part in challenging projects-which you choose
  • Benefit from three weeks work experience
  • Be given career advice and help with your job search
  • Get help with your CV
  • Make a difference to your local community
  • Achieve a City and Guilds Certificate in Personal Development and Contributing to the Community.
  • And have an amazing time

What happens during the 12 weeks

WEEK 1            Induction

Getting to know each other through, ice breakers and team building activities.

 

WEEK 2            Residential team building

A week away at an outdoor activity centre designed to develop motivation, confidence and team work.

 

WEEK 3-5         Community Project

Planning and doing a project, within the local community, that has been picked by the team.

 WEEK 6-8         Individual Work Placements

A chance to go and try out a job, gain some experience and new skills.

 WEEK 9            Next Steps

Work on interview skills, writing CVs and other interesting workshops.

 

WEEK 10-11     Final Team Challenge

The team organize and raise funds for a project that is of benefit to the local community.

 

WEEK 12          Final Presentation

The team plan and a host a presentation, of their achievements, to their family, friends and sponsors.
